An Italian journalist who made a name for himself among West Ham United fans in the summer has made a new claim.
Nicola Schira’s name will be familiar to Hammers supporters after he broke the news of Sebastien Haller’s £45million move before anyone else.
Schira did his reputation no harm at all when he called the Haller to West Ham deal dead right.
And he gained thousands of Hammers fans as followers on Twitter as a result.
Journalist who broke Haller makes new West Ham claim
Now he has made a new claim about West Ham’s intended transfer business in January and on the future of Manuel Pellegrini.
West Ham’s charming Chilean is a man under intense pressure as speculation swirls over his future.
West Ham have not won for seven games and were battered 3-0 by Burnley last time out.
The manner of West Ham’s nosedive, and the back-to-back defeats against Newcastle and Burnley, has seen a call for change among some Hammers fans.
The Hammers are already being linked with a host of players in January to help improve the team.
Hammers to keep Pellegrini and make two signings?
But there have also been reports that Pellegrini will not be given any money to spend (Daily Star).
Now Schira has claimed the West Ham board intends to not only keep Pellegrini but back him with two new signings in January.
“Pellegrini is going to stay on the bench of West Ham,” Schira said on Twitter.
“The club trusts the coach and in January Hammers will buy two new players.”

Paltry £25million spend over two windows has left Pellegrini short
So good news for West Ham fans in terms of much-needed transfers.
But it depends on where you stand over Pellegrini as to whether fans agree if that is a positive or negative for the club.
What cannot be denied is that the paltry £25million net spend over the last TWO transfer windows has left Pellegrini’s squad sorely lacking in several key areas.
