The Italian journalist who made a name for himself among West Ham United fans for breaking the news of Sebastien Haller’s move has delivered an update involving another Hammers striker target.
Nicola Schira did his reputation no harm at all when he called the Haller to West Ham deal dead right.
And he gained about 15,000 Hammers fans as followers on Twitter as a result.
Pellegrini linked with Higuain reunion
Now Schira has provided another update to his 40,000 followers about the future of another striker hotly tipped for a move to West Ham.
Manuel Pellegrini has been credited with a keen interest in Juventus outcast Gonzalo Higuain (Sky Sports).
The pair worked together during their time at Real Madrid.
West Ham were given encouragement when the Argentine’s agent said his client did not want to play for any other club in Italy besides Juve.
With the Old Lady strengthening again this summer that possibility has become even more remote, pushing Higuain towards a move to another league.
However, that has failed to deter Juve’s rivals Roma.
Reputable journalist gives Higuain update
According to Schira Roma have looked to push ahead of West Ham in a bid to land Higuain.
“Roma accelerates for Gonzalo Higuain,” Schira said on Twitter.
“Pipita (Higuain’s nickname) is (Roma manager) Paulo (Fonseca’s) first choice. Also Baldini (he discovered (Higuain) at River Plate and took him (aged) 19 to Real Madrid) (is) in action to convince the Argentine.
“Juventus has given the green light for the sale.”

So if West Ham are serious about landing Higuain it appears the East Londoners need to act fast.
