Celtic are being linked with a move to sign West Ham United player before 11pm on deadline day tomorrow.
West Ham manager David Moyes needs to sign some players before the window closes on deadline day tomorrow but he needs to sell some as well, and Celtic could help him out in that department.
The January transfer window has been a challenging one for the Hammers so far, but we have signed Kalvin Phillips, and who knows…Moyes may well bring in one or two more players before tomorrow’s 11pm deadline.
If he is to do just that though, he will need to shift some of the deadwood at the London Stadium first and foremost.
Said Benrahma and Pablo Fornals are seemingly close to leaving, but it seems as though another player could be on his way as well this winter…

West Ham player could be a target for Celtic on deadline day
Football journalist Mark Guidi has just told Go Radio that Danny Ings could well be on the Hoops’ radar.
Guidi explained:
“What they will be doing now, we are into the last three days as you really look at your options. And you will find a bit of movement now because teams need to get people off the wage bill. They will be trying to move a few on, if they get a few in. That’s what Celtic will be trying to do. So, it could well be Sydney Van Hooijdonk. It could be Bojan Miovski or Lawrence Shankland. It could be somebody right out of the blue from down the road who isn’t featuring. Could it be a short-term thing? Could it be Danny Ings from West Ham? Who knows. That’s where, through your contacts, you have to be creative in the market.”
I have to say, I’d drive Ings up to Celtic Park myself if I could.
Sure, he put in an impressive performance against Sheffield United 10 days ago, but it’s clear to see that he is painfully ill-suited to Moyes’s system a the London Stadium.
Getting his massive £125k-a-week wages off the books would be a major plus for us, and I think he’d actually be a useful signing for the Glasgow giants.
Hopefully Celtic do make a move to sign Danny Ings before 11pm on deadline day tomorrow night.
