Hammers boss David Moyes needs to bolster his ranks at the London Stadium this month.
The Scot’s priority should undoubtedly be to bring a new centre-forward to West Ham.
It is clear to see that we need another central midfielder as well, however.
Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek have been superb in the middle of the park this season.
We have little in reserve, however, aside from an ageing Mark Noble. If we are to push on for a top six or seven finish this season, signing another central midfielder this month will be absolutely pivotal.

And Marseille midfielder Morgan Sanson is a potential option for West Ham according to a report from the Sun.
The problem is that Aston Villa want him too, according to respected football journalist Fabrizio Romano.
West Ham to hijack Aston Villa’s Morgan Sanson move?
Telefoot La Chaine du Foot journalist Johnny Severin suggests that West Ham are lying in wait to ambush the Villans’ move to sign the 26-year-old Frenchman, however.
Sanson could be available for around £18 million according to Le Parisien.
In 11 Ligue 1 appearances for Marseille this season, the 26-year-old Frenchman has racked up two goals and three assists (Who Scored).

Sanson has averaged 1.1 key passes per game. He averages 26.5 passes per game with a completion rate of 77.4%. The Frenchman puts in a defensive shift as well. The Marseille ace has averaged 1.9 tackles and 0.8 interceptions per game (Who Scored).
He clearly has a lot of talent. Whether he is suited to the Premier League, however, is another matter entirely.
It remains to be seen whether Sanson ends up at either West Ham or Aston Villa.
If we are being honest, however, the Hammers need to get a striker through the door first and foremost. Only then should we even be looking at strengthening other positions.
