As we know FFP comes into effect pretty soon, and that means we will effectively have to start selling before we can buy. Our owners started preparing for this sooner rather than later and was speculated as one of the reasons why we didn’t buy another striker earlier in the season. There has been a number of players who have already been linked with summer moves to West Ham and many of them have been wingers. With that in mind could Jarvis be sold?

When Jarvis arrived at the club, he arrived as a club record transfer at £10.75 million so big things were expected of him. He was mainly bought as he was seen as the man to provide support to Andy Carroll. After two seasons at the Hammers, it is fair to say he hasn’t really set the world alight. Since he has arrived he has only contributed to 4 assists and 5 goals over two seasons in all competitions. If we look at just this season he has notched up 4 assists and 3 goals ( 2 in the cup and one in the league). This not exactly a great total for a winger whose team style of player suits them.  On the flip side you could say that injuries to Carroll may have stopped him from reaching his full potential.

Many fans also feel that he has been a flop since his transfer from Wolves, so it is possible a new winger could be brought in. The ever reliable @ExWHUEmployee on Twitter has also claimed that “ The club are considering selling Jarvis on at a significant loss in order to fund a move for a current prem winger.” Therefore I expect that if he was sold on it would be for around £5 million, for the current Premier League winger I’m not sure who it could be, but I am very excited.
