West Ham United are interested in 6ft 3in Gambian international Omar Colley and sent scouts to watch him in action.
West Ham boss David Moyes is set for a busy transfer window according to reports (Daily Express, Football Insider).
The Scot is keen to strengthen in all areas of the pitch.
And he appears to have his eye on powerful Sampdoria centre back Colley.

Italian journalist claims Hammers want Omar
That is according to respected Italian football journalist Nicolo Schira.
The reporter will be well known to West Ham fans. Schira broke the news of West Ham’s £45million record move for Sebastien Haller last summer.
And he claimed at the weekend West Ham were sending scouts to watch Colley in Sampdoria’s game against AC Milan last night.
West Ham’s Premier League rivals Newcastle were also said to be in attendance at the San Siro.

Hammers face competition from Newcastle
“Next Monday scouts of West Ham and Newcastle will be in Italy to observe Omar Colley in Milan-Sampdoria,” Schira said on Twitter ahead of the game.
They would have been impressed by what they saw.
Colley was superb as he shackled £35million former West Ham target Krzysztof Piatek and then Zalatan Ibrahimovic on his big return to Milan.
The Gambian is quick and powerful and looks ideally suited to Premier League football.

Colley shackles former Hammers target Piatek and Zlatan
West Ham have doubts over Fabian Balbuena’s ability to be a consistent performer in the top flight.
Winston Reid has not played a competitive game for close to two years. And while Angelo Ogbonna has been West Ham’s player of the season so far, he is not getting any younger.
West Ham may need to act fast after Colley’s latest high-profile display.
He had Piatek and his replacement Ibrahimovic in his pocket all game and the 27-year-old looked an impressive athlete.
