According to reports in the Italian press, Inter Milan are expected to rival West Ham for Edin Dzeko.
Dzeko will make use of his trip to Milan this weekend to hold talks about his future with Inter Milan, according to Corriere dello Sport via Sport Witness.
Inter Milan plot talks with Edin Dzeko
In the late kick-off on Saturday in Serie A, Roma travel to the San Siro to take on Inter Milan. Dzeko plays for Roma, who lie in fifth place in the Italian top-flight, and they can narrow the gap on third-place Inter Milan, who are five points ahead of their weekend opponents.
This report claims that the 33-year-old will make full use of his trip to Milan to discuss a potential summer move to Inter.
West Ham want Edin Dzeko too
But West Ham hope that these talks are not productive because Manuel Pellegrini is ‘insisting’ that he is the main striker target this summer.
West Ham could be in the market for more than one new striker this summer and Pellegrini wants to reunite with Dzeko.
The Bosnian international worked with Pellegrini during their time together at Manchester City, where they won the Premier League.
Dzeko has a good goalscoring record but his age and wage demands will concern some West Ham fans. The biggest stumbling block, though, is Inter Milan’s intrigue.
