The Hammers are likely to face competition for both players but they will consider signing them on free transfers.
Who is Yacine Brahimi?
Last summer, Brahimi was one of Manuel Pellegrini’s major targets, according to Sky Sports News. And West Ham are likely to return for the 29-year-old winger this summer.
Brahimi can operate on either flank and he has been with Porto for five years following his 2014 move from Spanish side Granada. He has also played in France with Rennes.
After scoring 13 goals this season, including 10 Primeira Liga strikes, Brahimi’s time at FC Porto could be coming to an end.
The Algeria international is likely to have a number of suitors but West Ham will try to win the race for his services.
Who is Hector Herrera?
Brahimi’s Porto team-mate Herrera has also been linked with the Irons in the past. Last summer, CM Journal reported that West Ham wanted Herrera.
The Mexico international impressed during the World Cup and a move to East London was touted. Now he is set to become a free agent, West Ham could try again.
Herrera is likely to be chased by a number of clubs in the summer. But he is exactly the style of player West Ham need.
The 29-year-old is an energetic box-to-box midfielder who is comfortable in possession. Herrera could be West Ham’s central midfield solution without costing a transfer fee.
