West Ham midfielder Pedro Obiang wants to leave the club this summer, according to reliable West Ham insider EXWHUEmployee.
Speaking on The West Ham Way podcast on Phoenix FM (Tuesday 30th April), EXWHUEmployee told listeners that Obiang wants to return to Italy.
The Hammers are likely to grant Obiang his wish. With a relatively low budget expected this summer, fringe players like Obiang can leave to raise funds.
Pedro Obiang linked with January exit
Obiang was close to leaving West Ham in January. According to Sky Sports News, Fiorentina were on the verge of signing him for £10m.
But the 27-year-old stayed at West Ham because Manuel Pellegrini could not find a value-for-money replacement in January.
Obiang has not been a regular at West Ham under Pellegrini. In 23 Premier League outings, the Equatorial Guinea international has started just 11 games.

West Ham without Pedro Obiang
If Obiang completes his summer move away from East London, he will leave West Ham with some fond memories. His best moment in claret and blue was his long-range strike against Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley.
But truthfully, West Ham can upgrade in this position. Obiang does a job but he is not a spectacular midfield player. There are better options out there.
At the right price, West Ham should allow Obiang to return to Italy. And with those extra funds, a new central midfielder could be brought in.
