ExWHUemployee has taken to Twitter to clarify West Ham’s actual summer budget.

The Hammers have spent heavily this summer, splashing out around £72 million on Sebastien Haller, Pablo Fornals and Goncalo Cardoso.

Manuel Pellegrini has also brought in free agents David Martin and Roberto.

Meanwhile, West Ham have sold Marko Arnautovic, Pedro Obiang, Edimilson Fernandes, Lucas Perez, Reece Oxford and Sam Byram for a combined total of around £41 million.

Whilst the Hammers seem to have an exciting group of players, it could be argued that they are still not strong enough to make a sustained push for the top six.

And according to Ex…there shouldn’t be any money now available for Pellegrini, unless he sanctions any further player sales:

Most West Ham fans will be more than happy with the business that Pellegrini has already got done this summer.

But the addition of at least one more established star really would go a long way, if they are to achieve qualification for Europe this season.
