West Ham United boss David Moyes will be going all out to sign a striker this summer.
Hammers slipping out of top four could actually be better for the run-in
West Ham’s lack of forward options has been exposed at the worst possible time by the all too predictable absence of Michail Antonio of late.
The Hammers have lost back-to-back games for the first time since the start of the season without the forward and talisman Declan Rice.

Key absences dent West Ham’s Champions League hopes
It has dented – but far from ended – West Ham’s Champions League ambitions.
But Moyes will undoubtedly go into the summer all the more determined to land a top striker for next season.
Moyes banked £20million from the sale of Sebastien Haller in January.
And West Ham have been linked with a host of forwards since.
Various reports have laid claim as to which striker is going to be Moyes’s number one target this summer.

Hammers linked with a host of strikers
Sevilla’s Youssef En-Nesyri, Brentford’s Ivan Toney, Abdallah Sima of Slavia Prague, Blackburn’s Adam Armstrong and most recently Chelsea outcast Tammy Abraham have all been linked by various sites and sources over the last couple of months.
Well now insiders Claret and Hugh – who have direct links to West Ham co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold – have claimed Sima could ‘easily’ arrive this summer.
Speaking in a story denying reported high-profile interest in Hammers star Tomas Soucek, Claret and Hugh claimed West Ham are more interested in adding another top talent from the Czech’s former club Slavia Prague than selling the big midfielder in the next window.

Hammers could ‘easily’ sign Sima this summer – insider
“Soucek has a contract plus option to remain at the London Stadium until 2024,” Claret and Hugh state.
“And he could easily be joined by Abdallah Sima from his former club Slavia Prague this summer.”
What West Ham would do to have Sima right now.
Moyes may face a fight to land the Senegalese forward come the summer, though, as the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool have been credited with an interest.
The Hammers could well end up rueing the decision to hold off signing a striker until the summer.
Unless Moyes can somehow get Antonio back fit for the remaining four or five games of the season.
