There are a number of clubs hoping to sign Dan Kemp before the transfer window shuts. Clubs in Scotland, Europe and the lower leagues in England can sign players until tomorrow’s deadline.
Kemp is attracting attention from lower league clubs and teams in Holland, according to reliable insider EXWHUEmployee. West Ham must now decide whether to send the young midfielder out on loan before tomorrow.
Dan Kemp: Loan spell could make the difference
Kemp is a talented young player with lots of potential. But the main concern about him is the physical side of the game. There is no doubting Kemp’s natural skill and ability but he is diminutive in stature and will need to learn how to deal with the senior game.
The 20-year-old has already scored for the U23 team this season and he has been thriving at that level. But in order to convince Manuel Pellegrini to select him, he needs to replicate that success in first-team football.
Kemp is a left-footed winger who likes to operate on the right and cut inside. He is a goal threat and he can set chances up for team-mates too. A loan spell could be the making of his career.
The England U20 starlet’s style might be better suited to the Dutch game with his guile and technical ability. But plying his trade in League One or League Two could prepare him well for the step up to first-team football at West Ham.
