West Bromwich Albion are on the verge of signing Grady Diangana on loan. According to trusted West Ham insider EXWHUEmployee, Diangana will team up with Slaven Bilic at West Brom for a loan spell.
The England U20 starlet impressed during pre-season but Manuel Pellegrini is ready to let him leave on loan. Diangana will gain experience at West Brom and some impressive performances in the Championship could earn him a first-team spot at West Ham in the future.
Diangana burst onto the scene for the Hammers with a brace on his debut against Macclesfield Town last season. He now has 21 games for West Ham’s first-team under his belt, including 17 in the Premier League. He has provided one assist.
Grady Diangana joins promotion push
Diangana will benefit from playing in a side who will be pushing for promotion. Under Bilic, the Baggies will be hoping to go one better than last season, which ended in play-off disappointment.
Bilic has decided to sign Diangana to bolster his attacking options. This move could be beneficial for all three parties if Diangana gets regular playing time. The 21-year-old needs to impress Pellegrini to show why he can break into the West Ham starting line-up.
The left-footed playmaker is clearly very talented but West Ham will be hoping he toughens up after a season in a physical league. This could help his long-term future at West Ham, as well as benefitting West Brom in the short-term.
