Reliable West Ham United insider ExWHUemployee has reacted to speculation that target Eberechi Eze played for West Ham in the friendly against Queens Park Rangers on Wednesday.

West Ham and QPR met in a warm-up game at the London Stadium ahead of the season resumption next weekend.

While pictures of the match have been published no details have been released by West Ham or QPR.

But David Moyes’s side are said to have beaten Rangers 4-1 with Sebastien Haller, Albian Ajeti, Michail Antonio and Pablo Fornals on the scoresheet.

Speculation Eze played half for West Ham in QPR friendly

The big talk around the game was Moyes getting to see reported target Eze up close.

The exciting young winger has been linked with a summer move to West Ham (The Sun and Claret and Hugh).

However the likes of Tottenham are also said to be interested.

After the game speculation swirled that Eze had played one half of the friendly FOR West Ham.

When West Ham fans want answers they tend to ask reliable insider ExWHUemployee.

But the anonymous Twitter and podcast personality was quick to dismiss the rumour.

Insider squashes ‘stupid’ rumour

“I’ll squash the rumour that I’ve been asked a number of times about and is really unfair on a young player’s reputation,” ExWHUemployee said on Twitter.

“Eze did not play the second half for us yesterday!

“That would be massively disrespectful and stupid and is completely made up.”

An exceptional talent but do West Ham have the funds?

Eze is a wonderfully exciting young talent.

And he would be a truly exceptional signing for West Ham.

He has been in absolutely incredible form for the west London outfit this season.

He has racked up 12 goals and eight assists in 37 Championship outings for QPR (Transfermarkt).

In those outings, the 21-year-old has averaged 2.4 shots, 1.9 key passes and three dribbles per game (Who Scored).

Whether West Ham have the kind of funds available to sign him this summer is another matter altogether.
