Insider ExWHUemployee claims West Ham want Issa Diop's former teammate Kelvin Amian Adou before window closes

West Ham United are interested in a former teammate of defender Issa Diop.

That’s according to reliable insider ExWHUemployee speaking on his latest West Ham Way podcast.

West Ham are deep in the relegation mire and David Moyes faces an uphill battle to keep the club up.

The Hammers are only being kept out of the relegation zone by virtue of a narrowly superior goal difference.

Make or break week for West Ham on and off the pitch?

West Ham face a must-win game against fellow strugglers Brighton on Saturday.

But before then Moyes will be busy trying to add to his ailing squad.

Darren Randolph and Tomas Soucek have arrived so far.

The Hammers continue to be linked with a host of players, though, ahead of the Friday night transfer deadline.

And speaking on the latest West Ham Way podcast this week, ExWHUemployee claimed the Hammers are interested in young Toulouse defender Kelvin Amian Adou, a former teammate of Diop.

Hammers insider claims Moyes wants Diop’s former teammate

“We are interested in a right-back,” ExWHUemployee confirmed on the West Ham Way podcast.

“We are looking at a right-back in Belgium and another in France, who I believe is Kelvin Amian Adou who is from Toulouse.

“We also made an enquiry for Norwich’s (Max) Aarons but that was rejected.”

The 21-year-old right back has played nearly 100 games for Toulouse in Ligue 1 since breaking into the first team as an 18-year-old three years ago.

Adou is a prominent France youth international, playing for various age groups right up to the Under 21s.

Does Adou makes the most sense in scattergun right-back search?

West Ham are understandably keen to bring in a new right-back. And they have taken a scattergun approach to finding one if recent reports are anything to go by.

And the fact Adou has played with Diop for club and country in the past could be a big positive as the pair will know eachother’s games well.

Ryan Fredericks is out for another month and Pablo Zabaleta is leaving at the end of the season.

In truth even when fit Fredericks has struggled to shine for West Ham.

The Hammers have been linked with a host of right-backs from across Europe this week.

According to various reports Moyes has also made moves for Rasmus Kristensen (Daily Mail), Joakim Mahle (ExWHUemployee) and Matty Cash (Sky Sports).
