Balotelli is a household name in English football, given his eye-catching spell at Manchester City. During his three year stay at Manchester City, the Italy international scored 30 goals in 80 appearances.

The hot-headed striker also received three red cards and was caught up in numerous controversies on and off the field.

Later in his career, Balotelli spent one season with Liverpool, scoring four goals in 28 games.

The 28-year-old is now at Nice, where he has had mixed fortunes. After scoring 43 goals in 66 games in his first two seasons, Balotelli was a fan favourite.

But he is trying to force an exit and he has not scored in 10 outings for Patrick Vieira’s men this season.

According to Twitter personality EXWHUEmployee, who is well known for his inside knowledge of West Ham transfer dealings, Balotelli is not an option for the Hammers.

EXWHUEmployee, who has over 50,000 followers, tweeted a simple message to deny West Ham’s interest in Balotelli. He said: “We will not be signing Balotelli”.

This has been backed up recent media reports. Sky in Italy via Sky Sports News believe Balotelli is on his way to Marseille.
