ExWHUemployee has claimed that West Ham are looking to move Winston Reid on, when speaking on the West Ham Way podcast last night (Wednesday December 18th).
The 31-year-old, who earns £70,000 per week according to Spotrac, has endured a torrid time with injuries over the past 18 months or so.
The New Zealand international has not played a senior game for West Ham since March 2018.
Reid has returned to training recently, however. Having said that, the Hammers fans are not holding out much hope that he will return to the player he once was.
The problem for West Ham is that there surely won’t be too many interested parties in someone who is clearly broken physically.
ExWHUemployee claimed that the Hammers are looking to move him on nonetheless, when speaking on the West Ham Way podcast last night (Wednesday December 18th):
“They are looking at centre-backs. They want to move Winston Reid on now. They want him to get back to fitness obviously but both Reid and the club feel that this can’t continue much longer.”
If Reid does end up leaving West Ham, it would be 100 per cent the right decision from the club.
The ageing Kiwi’s problems will undoubtedly only get worse from here on out. And it is hard to see a future for him at the London Stadium.
