ExWHUemployee has claimed that Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder would be interested in taking over as West Ham boss, when speaking on the West Ham Way podcast (Wednesday December 18th).
The 52-year-old has worked wonders with the Blades since taking over at Bramall Lane in 2016.
Sheffield United have really impressed upon their return to the Premier League this season, and they are currently sitting comfortably in seventh spot in the table, just four points adrift of the Champions League places.
Wilder seems to be a great man-manager, and everything that current West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini is not.
ExWHUemployee claimed that the Blades boss would be interested in taking over at the London Stadium, when speaking on the West Ham Way podcast last night (Wednesday December 18th):
“Wilder, I think we would be able to get him, I’m pretty convinced we could get him. I know people say he’s a Sheffield lad. From what I’ve heard on the grapevine he would, from what I’ve heard from people close to him.”
Much will depend on how West Ham do over the course of the next two weeks.
They face games against Crystal Palace, Leicester City and Bournemouth. If they fail to win any of those games, Pellegrini could very well be moved on.
And it sounds as though Wilder could very well be a candidate to replace the Chilean.
