West Ham have recently been linked with Nathaniel Clyne. According to Goal, West Ham will provide competition with Bournemouth for Liverpool defender Clyne in the summer.
Clyne is currently on loan at Bournemouth, where he has played 12 games since his January move.
The 28-year-old was out of favour at Liverpool after struggling with injuries and the rapid rise of Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Liverpool will, therefore, be willing to let him leave and Bournemouth are hoping to secure Clyne on a permanent deal for £15m.
But the Cherries face a battle with West Ham for the former England international right-back.
This has become a problem position at West Ham in recent years and Ryan Fredericks and Pablo Zabaleta have shared that duty this season.
Clyne has been identified as a potential solution at right-back. But this transfer link has drawn a mixed reaction from Hammers fans on social media.
West Ham fans have taken to Twitter to discuss the possibility of signing Clyne from Liverpool in the summer.
Some supporters are keen on the move; others are not so sure. Here are the best tweets.
I think it’s an improvement. However, I honestly think if we can get Fredricks to a premier league level by next season where he’s confident and has solidified his place in the team, I’d prefer him over Clyne.

Standard West Ham. They were interested when his career was on the rise but preferred to wait until he was on the clearance aisle. #bigclubmentality

No thanks they’d want minimum £20m and he isn’t worth that

He’d be a really good purchase at 20m or lower. We could sell Fredericks back to Fulham (!) and have Ben Johnson as the back up.
