Carlos Sanchez has been nothing short of a disaster since moving to West Ham.
The Colombian joined the Hammers from Fiorentina in the summer of 2018, for a fee believed to be worth £4 million, according to the Sun.
The 33-year-old has failed to make an impact in east London, however. In fact, he has been a liability.
Sanchez has made just 13 appearances for West Ham, and has failed to rack up either a goal or an assist during that time.
The South American, who earns £50,000 per week according to Spotrac, is out of contract with the Hammers in the summer.
According to Football Insider though, West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini will attempt to offload him for some kind of transfer fee in January.
And if the east London outfit manage to get any kind of fee for Sanchez, it would be a miracle.
He clearly isn’t cut out for the Premier League, and in truth is nothing more than a very average player. He will bee 34 in February, and out of contract in seven months time.
So any clubs potentially interested in the Colombia international would surely be mad to lay out a transfer fee in January for his services.
In fairness, Pellegrini will surely just be happy to be shot of the midfielder, regardless of whether he receives a transfer fee or not.
And when he does eventually leave the London Stadium, Sanchez will surely go down as one of the worst signings West Ham have made over the past decade or so.
