West Ham United boss Graham Potter is eyeing up a big reshuffle at the London Stadium this summer.

Graham Potter has already made big changes at West Ham, with regards to how we play as a team.

And now he could be set to make some sweeping changes with the playing staff at the London Stadium as well.

It has been reported already that Potter is plotting a big squad revamp at West Ham this summer.

And one of the areas where the 49-year-old clearly wants to improve is his central defensive department.

It may well be time for big change in East London when the summer transfer window opens.

Graham Potter could replace Konstantinos Mavropanos with Adam Webster

Konstantinos Mavropanos could be facing an exit from the London Stadium this summer, with Brighton’s Adam Webster coming in to replace him.

According to a report from Sean Whetstone, Potter isn’t a fan of Mavropanos.

The Hammers head coach is said to be lining up a move for his former player Webster to replace the Greek centre-back.

Hammers News exclusively revealed back in January that Potter wanted to sign the 30-year-old from his former club.

Signed for £19 million from Stuttgart in the summer of 2023 (Guardian), Mavropanos has proven to be a really poor acquisition by the Hammers.

So selling him in the summer will 100 per cent be the correct call.

Mavropanos has been absolutely awful for the Hammers since moving to the London Stadium.

Webster a big upgrade on Mavropanos

I know we all want Potter to sign young players, but sometimes a bit of experience is needed in order to add some balance.

Webster would be a huge upgrade on Mavropanos, there’s no doubt in my mind about that.

He is very similar in playing style to Ruben Dias, what with his tremendous aggression in the tackle and sheer quality in possession of the football.

Adam Webster is far superior to Konstantinos Mavropanos in every single metric (FBREF).

The Brighton defender may well be on the wrong side of 30, but his ability to play out from the back with real coolness and composure would be a major asset for West Ham.

He is vastly experienced, with 130 Premier League appearances for Brighton to his name, and he isn’t error prone like our Greek defender is.

Mavropanos out and Webster in at the London Stadium would represent a major upgrade for the Hammers.
