One West Ham United player linked with an exit now wants to stay at the club beyond the end of the January transfer window, it seems.
Nuno Espirito Santo has been a very busy man in the January transfer window so far, bringing two new strikers to West Ham.
However, the Hammers manager needs to bring at least two more new signings to the London Stadium before the winter window slams shut.
In order to do just that, though, one or two more players may need to be moved on.

Nuno has all sorts of problems at West Ham right now, with his side embroiled deeply in a relegation battle.
He may well have been handed another problem now as well, with one Hammer keen to stay at the club, despite having barely played this season.

Nuno will definitely have to raise some funds by moving some players on, if he is to bring in all the new signings he wants this month.
The Hammers have already allowed five players to leave in January, including the likes of Niclas Fullkrug, Luis Guilherme and Andy Irving.
However, another Hammer who has been heavily linked with the London Stadium exit door apparently now wants to remain at the club.
Mads Hermansen apparently now wants to stay at the London Stadium and fight for his place, according to The Standard.
That is in spite of interest in his signature from all across Europe.
Interestingly, just last week it was claimed that Hermansen wants out of West Ham.
It appears as though he has changed his mind, though.
Hermansen, 25, joined the Hammers from Leicester City in the summer of 2025 for around £18 million.
However, he has played just five games for West Ham, conceding 12 goals in the process.
Nuno clearly doesn’t fancy Hermansen. He wouldn’t be pushing so hard to sign a new goalkeeper if he was, would he?
In some ways it’s admirable that Hermansen wants to stay and fight for his place at West Ham.
On the other hand, though, it could be argued that the 25-year-old has lost touch with reality somewhat.

There is absolutely no chance that Hermansen will usurp Alphonse Areola as the Hammers’ current number one goalkeeper.
Despite Areola’s limitations with his feet, he is still one of the best shot-stoppers in the game.

Besides, Nuno is not insistent on his teams playing out from the back anyway.
Meanwhile, West Ham are keen to sign Brazilian goalkeeper Bento in the January window.
Hermansen must be living in dreamland if he truly believes that he has a future at West Ham United.
The Hammers should be looking to loan him out in the January window in the hope that he plays well and increases his value.
Then West Ham should look to sell Hermansen in the summer transfer window.
The man from Denmark has been a poor signing for the club since day one.
