One of the most worrying things to come out of West Ham United’s last two games has been a lack of pace and guile.
West Ham have just one point to show from games against Sheffield United and Everton teams who were well under par.
And the Hammers have looked leggy in both.
West Ham lack pace, energy and guile, particularly without the likes of Felipe Anderson and Michail Antonio.
One player who has all that is young star Grady Diangana.
But it is West Bromwich Albion’s promotion push that is benefiting from that, not West Ham’s battle for survival.

Reports suggest Anderson will be out until February through injury.

But according to The Telegraph the Hammers will let him stay at West Brom after the Baggies offered to pay £1.5mil to his parent club not to activate his recall clause.
Staying in the Premier League is worth 100 times that figure.
West Ham should not even be considering it. Especially if the likes of Claret & Hugh are accurate in their claims that West Ham have no money for transfers this month.
Risk far too great for measly £1.5 million
Do the West Ham hierarchy appreciate the situation the team is in? If the Hammers don’t start to pick up wins they run the risk that a Diangana-inspired West Brom will be replacing them in the top flight.
With Leicester, Liverpool (twice) and Manchester City to face in four of their next five games the East Londoners look set to be in the relegation battle until the end of the season.
West Ham handed Diangana a six-year deal.
Highly-rated Hammers must be brought back
So he is clearly highly rated at the club.
He has already proved, in flashes, he has what it takes to shine in the Premier League.
Diangana must be brought back and his pace and guile exploited.
If David Moyes and co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold cannot see that then West Ham fans should be worried.
