Flamengo’s president has claimed that an agreement is in place between the Brazilian club and Inter Milan for Gabriel Barbosa.
Rodolfo Landim – Flamengo’s president – told SporTV (translated via Sempre Inter) that a preliminary agreement has been struck with Inter. But now he is just waiting to hear back from the player.
West Ham have been linked with Barbosa for a while now and he is a reported target for January. According to The Daily Mail, West Ham are still considering Barbosa – also known as Gabigol – this winter.
Landim on Barbosa

It looks like Flamengo have first refusal on Barbosa. The Brazil striker has been on loan at Flamengo, scoring plenty of goals. Understandably, the Rio de Janeiro club want to sign Barbosa permanently.
But the 23-year-old is yet to decide. Landim told SporTV (via Sempre Inter): “We already have a preliminary agreement with Inter. We have not yet spoken to Gabigol as it was decided that we would talk again only at the end of the season but the season has been extended a bit more due to the Club World Cup.
“We have already made it clear just how much we are interested in keeping him with us. People, as a whole, when it comes to making a decision, do not think only of the present but also the long term. It all depends on him but having not yet talked to him about it yet, we will see what happens later.”
