Felipe Anderson hinting he is waiting for West Ham departure in cryptic Twitter post?

Felipe Anderson is waiting to leave West Ham United this summer.

That’s if a cryptic social media post from the £35 million Brazilian winger is anything to go by.

Anderson appears to have no future at West Ham under David Moyes.

The West Ham outcast still has 12 months remaining on his current contract.

But the 28-year-old has been heavily linked with a return to former club Lazio on a free transfer in recent weeks as West Ham seek to offload his £80,000 per week wages (Noi Biancocelesti).

Hammers outcast Anderson has been linked with Lazio return after nightmare couple of seasons

That would equate to just under £4m in salary savings over the next year and may give Moyes room to manoeuvre when bringing in new players.

Anderson has endured a nightmare over the last two seasons for West Ham and on loan at Porto.

He made just one league start and only six appearances in total for the Portuguese runners-up since leaving West Ham on a season-long loan back in October.

The winger (BBC Sport) had enjoyed a fantastic first season at the London Stadium but struggled in his second season.

He was shipped out by taskmaster Moyes who wanted to build West Ham around young, hungry and hard-working players.

Porto move West Ham hoped would put £35m winger in shop window backfired as Moyes moves on

Things turned sour almost immediately for Anderson at Porto as manager Sergio Conceicao claimed he was brought in against his wishes.

The manager also went on to criticise Anderson’s work ethic and he has not featured since.

The move West Ham hoped might boost the winger’s value for a sale backfired completely.

A return to Lazio could be best for all involved. But allowing Anderson to leave for free would represent another significant transfer failure for the Hammers who sold £45m record signing Sebastien Haller for a £25m loss to Ajax in January just 18 months after bringing him to the London Stadium.

Anderson suggests he is waiting to leave West Ham in cryptic Twitter post?

Some West Ham fans believe it would be better to keep Anderson and try to get the best out of him ahead of a jam-packed campaign with Europa League football.

But it appears the player is waiting to seal his departure from West Ham if a cryptic post on Twitter is anything to go by.

“Time is precious, it’s good to learn to value each day walking towards your purpose,” Anderson said on Twitter.

“And never forget that patience is a virtue.”

It is the first time Anderson has posted on social media since speaking out about his failed move to Porto last month.

West Ham are desperate to raise funds to add to Moyes’s kitty as the Scot seeks to seal a permanent move for Jesse Lingard as well as signing a striker with Tammy Abraham believed to be the prime target.
