Felipe Anderson could be on his way out of West Ham United according to football journalist Pedro Almeida with Galatasaray having already initiated contact with the East London outfit regarding the winger.

The 28-year-old winger is currently on loan with Porto.

Anderson joined the Hammers from Lazio in the summer of 2018 for a fee that could eventually rise to £41.5 million (BBC).

The Brazilian moved to the London Stadium amidst massive fanfare. He had a very big reputation. And the South American didn’t disappoint during his first season with West Ham.

Anderson’s form fell off a cliff after the first half of the 2019/20 season, however.

The 28-year-old never regained his form. And he has struggled with Porto as well.

Felipe Anderson close to West Ham exit?

Pedro Almedia has claimed that Galatasaray have already made contact with the Hammers about a potential move to sign the Brazilian winger:

With plenty off speculation going around with the summer transfer window approaching, it is easy to be misled sometimes.

Pedro Almeida has good form, however.

He has a history of being bang on the money, usually with transfers involving Portuguese and Brazilian sides.

Considering the fact that Anderson is Brazilian, we should take Almeida’s claim seriously.

Getting Anderson’s £80k-a-week salary (Football League FC) off the books would be a wise move from West Ham this summer.

Quite how much the Hammers will be able to get for 28-year-old remains to be seen.

We will probably be lucky to get anything more than £7 million or so, however, considering the fact that he has just one year remaining on his current deal at the London Stadium.

It’s sad what’s happened to Felipe over the past 18 months or so. This summer seems like the ideal time for the winger and West Ham to go their separate ways, however.
