That’s because Milos Kerkez is close to joining Lazio rather than West Ham this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.

However, it now seems that if Hammers boss David Moyes is to strengthen his left-back department in the summer transfer window, he will have to look elsewhere.

The high-profile Italian football journalist has taken to Twitter to provide an update on the talented AZ Alkmaar teenager.
Romano tweeted:

The West Ham fans got a glimpse of how good the 19-year-old is during our Europa Conference League semi-final clash with AZ Alkmaar.
He has pace and energy in abundance, is tenacious in the tackle and possesses an exceptional delivery into the box.
I think Milos Kerkez would have been an excellent addition for West Ham. It’s a real shame that he’s set to join Lazio instead.
