West Ham United could be in for a deadline day spectacular on Monday after David Moyes entered the running for a striker.

Insider lifts lid on what West Ham co-owner Sullivan told him about a new contract for Rice

That’s according to reliable West Ham insider ExWHUemployee speaking on this week’s The West Ham Way podcast (October 1st).

West Ham finally broke their transfer new arrival duck this summer with the signing of right-back Vladimir Coufal.

Hammers in race against time to make signings before window shuts

Moyes has made it clear he wants to strengthen in several key areas, including defence and midfield.

But speaking on The West Ham Way podcast, ExWHUemployee claimed Moyes has several loan bids in for strikers.

And the anonymous Twitter personality suggested the Hammers could be in line for a ‘deadline day spectacular’.

Deadline day spectacular could be on the cards says insider

“There’s a couple of forwards who are in the pipeline for a loan move,” ExWHUemployee told The West Ham Way podcast.

“Which could be a deadline day spectacular.

“Some of these names I could throw out there, but there’s hundreds of them because there’s agents that are literally pimping players left, right and centre to us.

“My plan is to try and find out a bit more information before Monday. But we’ll see because Monday could be a write-off for me (for personal reasons).”

Moyes should have nearly £35m left to spend

West Ham co-owner David Sullivan told talkSPORT last week that Moyes had a transfer budget of £40million.

The signing of Coufal means £5.5m of that has been spent.

That should mean Moyes has £34.5m to spend on players or loan fees before the window slams shut on Monday night at 11pm.

It will undoubtedly be a bumpy roller coaster ride.
