ExWHUemployee has confirmed that there is truth behind the rumours regarding West Ham’s interest in AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie this month, when speaking on the West Hm Way podcast last night (Tuesday, January 21st).
Central midfield is an area where Hammers boss David Moyes will be desperate to strengthen before the transfer window slams shut.
The east London outfit desperately lack any kind of physicality, energy, athleticism and power in the middle of the park – all qualities that Kessie possesses in abundance.
And reliable West Ham insider suggested that the 23-year-old Milan ace is in fact a target for Moyes, when speaking on the West Hm Way podcast last night:
“The one that has been reported widely, and there is some interest in him is Kessie of Milan, he’s an Ivory Coast international. It would be a loan deal for him, there is truth to that story.”
Just what is needed at the London Stadium
The 35-capped Ivory Coast international would be a truly excellent addition for the Hammers.
A potential loan deal would not be great for West Ham though. Unless they have an obligation to buy, of course. Ot at the very least, an option.
The AC Milan ace is the kind of tenacious, hard-working and powerful talent that the Hammers need in midfield. He could transform West Ham overnight, and would surely form a formidable partnership with Declan Rice in the middle of the park.
If Kessie can be convinced to move to the London Stadium, and in truth that is unlikely at the moment, considering the Hammers’ current predicament, Moyes’s side will be in a great position from which to avoid relegation.
The Milan midfielder is a top class player. And West Ham should do everything they can to make sure they sign him permanently this month, rather than just on loan.
