The 55-capped Poland international is allegedly keen to stay at the London Stadium as well.

Fabianski joined the Hammers from Swansea City in the summer of 2018 for around £7 million (BBC).

And the 35-year-old has done a sterling job for West Ham over the past two-and-a-half years.

The former Swansea City and Arsenal stopper hasn’t quite been at his best since returning from injury this time last year. He has shown signs of improvement in recent games, however.

Fab’s east London stay set to continue?

“Fabianski is one of those players whose contract is up in the summer. The club are in the process of trying to get him to sign a new two-year deal which will probably be his last contract. The club are trying to negotiate that with him now. He seems keen to stay.”

Signing a new goalkeeper will be important for David Moyes perhaps next summer. But right now we are fairly well stocked in that particular department.

Let’s not forget, West Ham have Nathan Trott and Joseph Anang coming through the ranks as well.

Keeping Fabianski in east London for another two seasons is the right call. The Pole still has a lot to offer the Hammers. And his experience could be invaluable for West Ham over the next couple of seasons.
