ExWHUemployee has provided a transfer update…and it doesn’t sound too encouraging!

Hammers boss David Moyes is expected to be a busy man in the transfer market this summer.
The Scot needs to sign at least three players – a centre-forward, a central midfielder and a centre-back.
It could actually be argued that we need a left-back, a goalkeeper and another striker as well!

As things stand, however, there seems to be no movement whatsoever aside from bringing in a couple of talented young players with one eye on the future.
ExWHUemployee provides infuriating transfer update
With other teams in and around us in the Premier League strengthening left right and centre, there is a real danger that the Hammers could get left behind.
Ex told the West Ham Way podcast last night that the club’s owners will continue to play the waiting game in search for the best value available:

“I know people are getting really stressed about it already. I don’t think here will be much movement until after the Euros. Any talk that players are close to signing generally isn’t true. The players we are interested in we won’t start bidding for until a couple of weeks time. We always want to see what the best value is out there which I know is a strategy that not many people like. There are loads of targets, particularly at centre-back. I think we just have to hold on and hope that some of these players we are interested in don’t move elsewhere. It’s obviously an annoying strategy.”
That is certainly an infuriating update. Why are we waiting around? Why are we making it possible for other clubs to come in and steal our targets?
Our approach to transfer business really does seem to be extremely amateurish. Hopefully it doesn’t cost us the chance to strengthen our ranks sufficiently this summer
