Claret and Hugh claimed yesterday that the 24-year-old is a priority transfer target for the Hammers.
West Ham currently have Michail Antonio as their only senior centre-forward option.
That quite clearly isn’t good enough for a club with European aspirations.
ExWHUemployee names number one West Ham target
It will be vital for David Moyes to bring a top class centre-forward to the London Stadium this summer.
And Ex suggested that signing Blackburn Rovers striker Adam Armstrong is a priority for Moyes this summer, when speaking on the West Ham Way podcast last night (Wednesday, March 17th):

“I think Armstrong has always been one of the top ones because Moyes likes the impact that Bowen has had. He wants another player who’s proven in England. He’s more keen to buy domestically than abroad.”
The 24-year-old would undoubtedly be a very good addition for the Hammers.
Armstrong has been in fine form for Blackburn this season. He has racked up 20 goals in 35 games so far (Transfermarkt).

The Englishman is exactly the kind of striker West Ham should be looking to sign this summer.
Armstrong has explosive pace, is an incredibly hard worker and leads the line on his own with aplomb. He is a great finisher as well.
Blackburn could demand as much as £25 million for the 24-year-old according to the Sun.
With just over a year remaining on his contract, however, Rovers will surely have to accept a lesser fee than that.
And if West Ham could pick him up for around £12-15 million, it would be very good business for the East London outfit.
