ExWHUemployee has claimed that West Ham are on the look-out for a new goalkeeper, whilst suggesting that he would be surprised if David Martin is offered a new deal, when speaking on the West Ham Way podcast (Wednesday March 3rd).

Lukasz Fabianski, 35, is the Hammers’ current number one goalkeeper. Darren Randolph, 33, is the Pole’s deputy but neither of them are reliable from a fitness perspective.
The problem for David Moyes is that there are other areas of his squad that are in more urgent need of attention.
The Scot should be looking to sign at least two centre-forwards this summer.
And he will surely be looking to bring a central midfielder and a left wing-back to the London Stadium as well.
The goalkeeping department certainly shouldn’t be overlooked, however.

The Hammers should be looking to address their keeper options within the next 12 months.
And ExWHUemployee suggested that is exactly what could happen, whilst claiming David Martin could be on his way this summer, when speaking oil the West Ham Way podcast (Wednesday March 3rd):
“We’re looking to sign a keeper. David Martin, I would be surprised although it’s not confirmed, if he’s given another deal. Randolph has been injury prone and with Fabianski picking up injuries as well. I think we will look, maybe not this summer but certainly soon, to overhaul the goalkeeping department.”
Martin is somewhat of a cult hero at West Ham. He produced a magical display against Chelsea 17 months ago at Stamford Bridge, helping us to a memorable 1-0 win.
At 35, however, it is probably time to move on.
The Hammers have Nathan Trott and Joseph Anang coming through the ranks so we are fairly well stocked regarding strength in depth.
If Martin does make an exit from the London Stadium his summer, however, he will be able to leave with his head held high.
