The 28-year-old joined the Hammers on loan from Manchester United last month up until the end of the season.
Lingard has already made a huge impact at the London Stadium. At the time, David Moyes received criticism for bringing the 24-capped England International to West Ham.
Those critics have been silenced emphatically already, however.
The Manchester United-owned ace has scored three goals in four games for the Hammers.
ExWHUemployee claims Jesse Lingard wants to join West Ham permanently
He has added much needed quality, guile and energy to our attacking play.
The Hammers fans will be desperate for Lingard to move to the London Stadium permanently in the summer.
ExWHUemployee claimed that there is a good chance that will happen at the end of the season, when speaking on the West Ham Way podcast last night (Wednesday February 24th):
“Lingard doesn’t have a clause. I think he will leave Manchester United, he does want to join West Ham. West Ham officials are confident that he will sign for us but there will be other clubs interested.”
Whatever happens between now and the end of the season, we have to ensure that we get the Lingard signing done.
He has already proven that he has so much to offer the Hammers.
With so much attacking talent and flair on display at Old Trafford, Manchester United will surely be open to selling him this summer.
Let’s just hope that Lingard has fallen in love with West Ham and that we are able to bat off any competition for his signature in the summer.
