West Ham United boss David Moyes has made something very clear to co-owner David Sullivan over the club’s transfer negotiations.
Moyes has repeatedly made it very clear – as recently as the end of last season in an in-depth interview with The Daily Mail – that West Ham’s recruitment needs to be completely overhauled.
The Scot delivered a stark warning to co-owners Sullivan and fellow co-owner David Gold in a previous interview with The Evening Standard that West Ham have been lagging behind every other Premier League club in terms transfer operations.

Moyes slowly but surely transforming West Ham’s recruitment operations
With the backing of Sullivan and Gold, Moyes has been slowly but surely changing the setup behind the scenes to improve recruitment.
And the results have been there for all to see over the last 18 months.
Some West Ham fans have been concerned over what is perceived as an over reliance on one particular agent – Will Salthouse.
The likes of Football Insider have claimed in the past that Salthouse – a friend of Sullivan’s sons Jack and Dave – is West Ham’s preferred agent to do business with.
Salthouse and his Unique Sports Management company have the likes of Michail Antonio, Aaron Cresswell, Craig Dawson, Ryan Fredericks and Darren Randolph on their books and previously represented Said Benrahma too.

Scot in complete control of Hammers transfer decisions after years of scattergun approach
Moyes has made it clear he has complete control of West Ham’s transfer decisions after years of a scattergun approach which rarely paid off.
Indeed the Scot would not have signed a new three-year deal if that was not the case and had had he not received assurances his desired changes to the club’s recruitment department were going to be implemented.
Some West Ham fans are concerned that goalkeeper Alphonse Areola is the club’s only proper new addition to the first team squad this summer.
Although the exciting signing of Nikola Milenkovic could soon be added to that list.

Insider reveals the demand Moyes has made to Sullivan over West Ham transfer negotiations
Now West Ham insider ExWHUemployee has revealed that Moyes has demanded he be involved in all transfer negotiations with agents – including Salthouse.
“I think the fans will like this,” Ex said on The West Ham Way podcast, recorded on August 8th.
“David Moyes has said that any negotiations with the likes of Will Salthouse, he wants to be directly involved.
“He wants no negotiations with agents to go on without him having some say in it, which I admire and I think is definitely the right thing to happen.”
