ExWHUemployee has claimed that West Ham interested in signing both Chelsea hitman Olivier Giroud and Hull City attacker Jarrod Bowen in January.

David Moyes will be desperate to strengthen his squad this month with some incredibly tough fixtures still to come for his side.

It could be argued that the Hammers actually need to bolster every single department of their squad.

Sky Sports reported yesterday that Moyes is prioritising the additions of a central midfielder and a goalkeeper this month.

Well-informed insider ExWHUemployee claims that West Ham are looking at other targets too, however:

Good signings?

Giroud, who earns £110,000 per week according to Spotrac, would be a very useful addition. At 33, he might be past his best, but he still has a lot to offer.

The Chelsea front-man is one of the best in the game at holding the ball up and playing with his back to goal, and Sebastien Haller could learn a lot from his countryman.

The Blues hitman could also be a bargain for West Ham, with the Sun claiming that he could be available for just £3 million this month.

Bowen, meanwhile, would be an incredibly exciting addition.

He has already scored 17 goals in 26 appearances for the Tigers this season, and the 23-year-old would add some much needed quality to the Hammers’ attacking play.

Bowen could be available for around £20 million, according to the Express.

And whilst West Ham arguably need to strengthen more urgently in other positions, either one of the two players mentioned would be sound additions for the east London outfit.
