But it has sprung into life in recent days with Chelsea midfielder Loftus Cheek the latest linked with a move across London (The Guardian).
West Ham fans are always sceptical whenever they are linked with a player.
But popular Twitter and podcast personality ExWHUemployee has confirmed the reports about Loftus-Cheek.
And his reliable word on transfers is given extra weight after he revealed a host of Chelsea transfer news this season too.

Whether West Ham get their man or not remains to be seen.
David Moyes told the press last week that while his priority is defenders, he also wants to try and sign another midfielder (whufc.com).

So West Ham’s interest in Loftus-Cheek adds up. The England midfielder is still only 24 and that would be the perfect age in line with Moyes’s policy.
A bid for Loftus-Cheek could present some problems for West Ham, though.
