As many as three West Ham players could be reunited with David Moyes at Everton as he plots a raid for a new star in the wake of a claim about a sad Graham Potter snub.

Speculation has been rife from the moment he returned to Everton in January that David Moyes will raid his former club West Ham for players.

There is something of a role reversal for the Hammers and Toffees this summer transfer window.

Cash-strapped Everton have only been able to watch on as West Ham put themselves among the top six spenders in the Premier League in the last three years.

Now it is the Hammers who are in a PSR pickle while Everton, under new ownership and on their way to a new stadium, are finally able to spend sufficiently again.

Soucek not the only West Ham star Moyes wants at Everton

That’s according to Moyes himself, who has put it on record he will be backed by the Friedkin Group with money for signings.

Some of that money could be sent West Ham’s way if incessant speculation is anything to go by in recent months.

The subject of Tomas Soucek is a very prickly one at West Ham United amid continued interest from Everton.

Many Hammers fans do not want to see Soucek sold.

But transfer insider Graeme Bailey recently confirmed West Ham are open to selling Soucek amid interest from Everton and a number of other Premier League sides.

It was stated that is because Graham Potter wants to completely reinvent his midfield.

With West Ham needing money due to PSR, it’s been claimed the Englishman is willing to sacrifice towering Czech player of the year Soucek. That’s despite the fact he hit nine goals last term – including yet another against the Toffees.

There have also been reports Moyes fancies a move for Soucek’s Czech mate Vladimir Coufal on a free transfer as he is ruthlessly released by Potter at the end of the month, despite wanting to stay at West Ham.

Now Moyes is plotting a raid for a new West Ham star as a sad Potter snub comes to light.

Moyes plots raid for new West Ham star after sad Potter snub

The future of Michail Antonio has been making headlines in east London this week.

West Ham wished Antonio ‘the best for the future’ after talks over a new deal collapsed.

The Hammers have since made it clear in an official statement a formal announcement on Antonio will be made at the appropriate time.

For now it has been confirmed the Jamaica striker will be placed on the Premier League’s list of free agents as a formality.

Now a sad snub from Potter has come to light – and Moyes is looking to take advantage by bringing Antonio to Merseyside.

Antonio is reportedly unhappy with West Ham’s offer of a short-term deal on a reduced wage and is now considering ‘many other offers’.

According to Claret and Hugh, Everton are behind one of those offers – but now there’s more to the story.

It is claimed Moyes wants to be reunited with the man he made a Premier League striker for one last dance together.

It comes with Dominic Calvert-Lewin looking set to leave the Toffees as a free agent.

All the way back in February, Hammers News exclusively revealed Antonio was targeting a miraculous return to action by the last week of the season.

Now The Athletic have confirmed that was the case and that Antonio wanted and expected to be named in the West Ham squad for the season finale at Ipswich.

But Roshane Thomas says Potter refused and left him out of the travelling squad, possibly denying Antonio and West Ham fans an emotional farewell.

It is stated that Antonio appreciates West Ham’s support in his return from a car crash which left him with a broken leg in four places.

But the striker, who turns 36 next season, is unhappy at Potter’s snub.

It would be a sour note on which to end Antonio’s near decade at West Ham.

Now his personal fairytale from non-league to Premier League could have one final twist that sees a reunion with Moyes at Everton’s wonderful new Hill Dickinson Stadium.

For Toffees fans concerned about moving for a 35-year-old who is recovering from such a serious injury – Antonio insists he can still play at the highest level and is in line to return to action with Jamaica over the next few weeks.

Whatever happens, Moyes and Potter can’t afford to get things wrong in this week.

That’s according to the man who is legend at both clubs.

Because Tony Cottee has warned Everton and West Ham they must improve next season, saying there are ‘no excuses’.
