West Ham are set to unveil the double signing of striker Niclas Fullkrug and midfielder Guido Rodriguez imminently as fees and wages are revealed.

West Ham United are set to complete their fifth and sixth signings of the summer after successful medicals.

The Hammers have completed a deal with Borussia Dortmund for Germany striker Niclas Fullkrug.

The announcement is due soon as West Ham’s media team works on the usual packages.

West Ham will also announce the capture of free agent Guido Rodriguez, a World Cup winner with Argentina.

The 30-year-old left Real Betis this summer and was set to join Barcelona.

But Xavi leaving put paid to that move with alleged West Ham managerial target Hansi Flick taking over at the Camp Nou instead.

Double West Ham signing imminent

West Ham turned to Fullkrug when the club reached stalemate in a move for Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran.

The top spokesman inside West Ham has confirmed to Hammers News that signing Fullkrug means the end of their Duran pursuit.

The move for Rodriguez, who has also won two Copa America titles with Argentina, came somewhat out of the blue at the end of last week.

West Ham have secured the combative midfielder’s signature and he will reunite with former Club America midfield partner Edson Alvarez at the London Stadium.

Hammers fans are too long in the tooth to celebrate a signing until they see them holding up a West Ham shirt.

But the double West Ham signing is now imminent as a board source shares the fees and wages.

There have been claims that West Ham are paying as much as £30m for Fullkrug.

Board source shares fees and wages for Fullkrug and Rodriguez

Hammers News has already revealed it is nowhere near that much with the initial fee around £22.5m.

There are around £3m in possible add-ons payable if achieved.

Rodriguez will cost West Ham nothing beyond his signing on fee.

Now Sean Whetstone, who counts majority owner David Sullivan and vice-chair Karren Brady among his close contacts, has revealed the financials involved in the double deal.

Fullkrug will sign a three-year deal with a fourth year option on around £100,000 per week. The 31-year-old’s contract will be worth around £20m in wages if he stays for the full four years.

Rodriguez meanwhile will pocket around £4m wages over the course of his shorter two-year deal.

“Niclas Fullkrug is expected to sign a three-year contract with West Ham later today with an option for a further year,” Whetstone said.

“He is expected to earn close to £100,000 per week with the Hammers worth up to £20m over four years.

“Guido Rodriguez is also expected sign a two-year contract with West Ham later today. He earned a reported £33,000 per week at Real Betis so with a modest estimated bump to £40,000 per week he could earn up £4m in wages over the next two years.”

On the evidence of pre-season both players will go straight into West Ham’s starting line-up.

Rodriguez is much more comfortable on the ball than Tomas Soucek and will offer more specialist protection for a backline that desperately needs it.

West Ham are expected to officially announce Fullkrug and Rodriguez on Monday.

Although they may hold the Argentine’s unveiling until this evening or tomorrow to give each player their own individual announcements.
