Manchester City are interested in signing Declan Rice from West Ham, according to The Sun.

In a bid to improve their squad with homegrown players, Manchester City have set £150m aside for three promising Englishmen.

As well as Rice, the Premier League champions are also keen on Crystal Palace right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell.

Manchester City are ready to launch a £70m swoop for West Ham starlet Rice, who is enjoying an impressive season on a personal level.

The 20-year-old already has over 50 appearances to his name and is one of the key men in West Ham’s starting line-up.

Man City use Fernandinho as their defensive midfielder but they need to find a young player to be his successor.

Pep Guardiola has lined Rice up as the ideal choice. The Londoner, who has recently committed to represent England over Ireland, is homegrown and already performing at Premier League level.

Here are some things West Ham fans are saying about their prize asset being linked with a £70m exit.
