West Ham United have been given a double boost in their pursuit of Bournemouth’s Ryan Fraser.

David Moyes’s fellow Scot Fraser is said to be one of West Ham’s prime summer targets.

The Mirror reported earlier this year that West Ham want to sign Fraser in the summer.

The super quick playmaker being available on a free transfer will be a very attractive proposition for West Ham, given the impact of the global health crisis on finances.

West Ham are not alone in their interest in Fraser of course. The likes of Tottenham and Arsenal are also said to be in for him.

Bournemouth were also hoping Fraser would agree a new contract and stay with them.

But the Hammers have received a double boost after it emerged Fraser will not be signing a new deal AND is doing a Jeremy Ngakia and refusing to extend his contract until the new end of this interrupted campaign (BBC Sport).

That means West Ham will have the chance to speak to Fraser about a summer move.

It also means West Ham’s relegation rivals Bournemouth cannot count on their best player for the rest of the season.

Double boost for West Ham over Fraser

Like Ngakia, Fraser’s contract ends on June 30th. So he would be eligible for Bournemouth’s games against Crystal Palace and Wolves.

But according to BBC Sport the 26-year-old will not be playing in those matches.

West Ham are having their own troubles convincing Ngakia to stay. They have until June 23rd to agree an extension until the end of the season.

But the right-back is now being courted by the likes of Liverpool, Watford and several others.

If West Ham can stay up and persuade Fraser to join them, it will be a real coup.

Stat shows Fraser is second only to KDB

And his fellow Scot ticks all of those boxes.

West Ham fans will appreciate Fraser’s talent having seen him play against their side over the last few years.

A new statistic recently revealed just how good Fraser is.

According to Whoscored.com only Manchester City’s world class midfield superstar Kevin de Bruyne has created more clear cut chances since the start of LAST season (2018/19).

Fraser has created 33 clear cut chances between August 2018 and now.

And KDB only has one more than him with 34.
