‘I will trim the fat’ David Moyes says he has West Ham transfer plan in place

One of the many, many highlights of West Ham’s record breaking season has been the signing of Jesse Lingard on loan from Manchester United.

Lingard has been a revelation since joining the Hammers in January.

Lingard one of many huge positives in West Ham’s record breaking season

Nine goals, four assists and several ‘pre-assists’ – a key pass, action or moment of skill that creates the opportunity for a goal – tells you everything about Lingard’s 16 games at West Ham.

West Ham boss David Moyes is desperate to keep Lingard permanently this summer, as he reiterated after the 3-0 season finale win over Southampton (Football London).

Attentions have already turned to whether West Ham can keep Lingard at the club for what promises to be an exciting Europa League adventure next season.

There is no denying Lingard has loved his time at West Ham.

Has Antonio dropped big hint over Lingard’s Hammers future in hilarious Twitter post?

But his future remains uncertain with comments the midfielder made in an interview last week appearing to suggest he may not be returning (whufc.com).

Has Michail Antonio dropped a big hint that Lingard is set to stay at West Ham, though?

Antonio took to Twitter after West Ham’s Europa League place was confirmed.

And he posted a collage of photoshopped images showing him and his teammates in front of some well known European landmarks.

Among them was a certain Jesse Lingard.

‘Get your passports ready’

“Get your passports ready people, we’re off to Europe,” Antonio said on Twitter.

He posted the message along with a hilarious collage of edited pictures of himself, Tomas Soucek, Declan Rice, Angelo Ogbonna, Pablo Fornals and that man Lingard in front of the likes of The Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Eiffel Tower.

Of course it may well be just an innocent bit of fun.

But Antonio’s message may also hint Lingard will be on the journey with his West Ham teammates for the 2021/22 campaign.

We can only hope so.
