The 22-year-old still has four years remaining on his current deal at the London Stadium.
The Hammers are thought to have an option of extending that deal by a further year as well.
Rice has been West Ham’s best and most consistent player over the past two or three years.

The defensive midfielder has fully established himself as the most important player David Moyes has at his disposal at the London Stadium.
He is also a fully fledged member of the England national team.
Rice’s stock has risen whilst on duty with the Three Lions at EURO 2020 this summer.
Declan Rice contract claims true according to Ex
News broke earlier today that the 22-year-old had rejected offers of a new deal from the West Ham owners.

And those claims are true according to highly respected club insider ExWHUemployee:
If West Ham are to show any kind of ambition whatsoever, we need to make Dec our highest paid player.
If anyone deserves a huge salary, it’s him.
Losing Rice is unfathomable. He is so crucial to the way in which the Hammers go about their business and David Moyes would undoubtedly be devastated if he lost him, regardless of how much money we make from his sale.
