7:52 pm: Jack Sullivan confirms on Twitter that Razvan Rat has left the club by mutual consent
5:32 pm: The big rumour coming out of Twitter is Razvan Rat is set to be released via @LeeClayton_ (Head of Sport at the Daily Mail and Mail Online)
4:00 pm: DONE DEAL – Armero joins on loan from Napoli, confirmed by the Italian club’s official Twitter page. Good signing that is.
3:09pm : The reliable @ExWHUEMployee on Twitter has just tweeted “If Jelle Vossen is on his way to London then there is a strong chance it could be to talk to us. I know the club were interested previously.” Could be one to watch this one.
1:06 pm: It seems to have gone quiet down at Upton Park. Only thing to report is that a move for Kostas Mitroglou is becoming increasingly unlikely, with Berbatov likely to be leaving Fulham
11:30 am: Possibly the funniest rumour of the day. Manchester City want Ravel Morrison included in a deal for Joleon Lescott. Ha!
11:18 am: West Ham’s first departure of the day with George Moncur joining Partick Thistle on loan until the end of the season.
11:08 am: Kostas Mitroglou’s representative’s are at Fulham’s training ground. it seems as if Fulham are in the driving seat to sign the striker at the moment.
10:55 am: Reliable Italian source @dimarzio has tweeted that “Armero had a medical for West Ham today in Italy, and is now waiting for details from the clubs”
10:45 am: Neil McDonald has just finished his press conference for the Swansea game. Here are a few quotes “I would imagine Ravel will be staying until I’m told otherwise”, “Joleon Lescott is a Manchester City player and until that changes I cannot comment” and “I wouldn’t rule out anybody coming to the club”
10:23 am: BBC Sport journalist @bbcsport_david has said that West Ham have offered more than Fulham for Mitroglou, but he also has an injury. Typical!
10:15 am: So according to @whustuff on Twitter the Gradel deal is very much up in the air at the moment. Apparently we offered a cash deal that St Etienne accepted and then we offered Diarra and Maiga instead and it collapsed. Deal is still under consideration.
9:36 am: News has slowed down somewhat, Sky Sports are expecting West Ham to sign at least two players today
9:20 am: Swansea reporter on Sky are saying West Ham are interested in Swansea full back Neil Taylor
9:14 am: According to Sky Sports the deal to bring Max Gradel to West Ham has collapsed
9:03 am: Via @ExWHUEmployee on Twitter; Noble to Newcastle is just a reused Sky Sports story and Lescott deal is not very close and the moment and is very dependent on them signing a replacement
9:00 am: Sports Direct News have linked us with a move for QPR winger Shaun Wright-Phillips, although I don’t feel there is any substance there.
With it seemingly likely to become a busy day for West Ham, it is only right that we have our own deadline day feed for West Ham. Let me bring you some of the news that has already been reported. We are hearing that West Ham could be signing both Armero and Max Gradel on loan with deals very likely.
West Ham have also made a late bid to try and snatch Kostas Mitroglou from Fulham. The Greek striker has been heavily linked with Fulham and has an impressive strike rate with Olympiakos. Personally I can’t see this one happening as Fulham have offered around £12 million for the player.
Finally the we could see Diarra and Maiga possibly leaving the club today. We need players to leave before we can recruit any as we have reached our 25 man squad limit, and these to are the most likely. One of them has been offered as a makeweight in the Gradel deal. Maiga has also been interesting QPR, although there are rumours he may struggle for a work permit. Other departures could be Rat and Collison with the reliable ex employee on Twitter claiming we will entertain offers. Roger Johnson’s loan may also be terminated to free up space and Diame is attracting interest from QPR.
