Dead-line for West Ham in late Jesse Lingard call as Man United insider kills Hammers hopes

West Ham United’s hopes of a dream deadline day return for Jesse Lingard have been crushed by a respected Manchester United insider.

David Moyes has made no secret of his desire to bring Lingard back to West Ham following his sensational loan spell last season.

But this summer Man United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has publicly maintained Lingard is part of his plans.

RONALDO NEEDS TO STOP WHINING.

Lingard facing bit-part role despite declaring he wants regular game time after magical Hammers spell

The midfielder, in the peak years of his career, faces being a bit-part player at Old Trafford once again, though, with Solskjaer having signed the likes of Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo to add to his embarrassment of riches.

Sky Sports reported yesterday that Man United had softened their stance on the prospect of letting Lingard leave.

That – along with claims from the world and its wife that Lingard could seal a deadline day return after talks with Moyes – gave Hammers fans hope a deal could be done.

Dead-line for Moyes call on Lingard claims Man United inside man

But respected Man United man in the know, Jonathan Shrager – the co-founder of Stretty News – killed those hopes dead last night, claiming he has been told West Ham will not be making a last gasp move.

“I am told that West Ham will not be making a last minute attempt to sign Lingard from MUFC,” Shrager said on Twitter.

Earlier this summer Lingard stated that regular game time was the most important thing to him for the rest of his career having tasted it again at West Ham.

Lingard AND Vlasic always seemed too good to be true

But the talk is the 28-year-old West Ham target is happy to be part of the Red Devils squad despite playing just five minutes in the two games he has been available for so far.

It always seemed both too good to be true and nonsensical that West Ham might sign both Lingard and imminent arrival Nikola Vlasic.

The pair are very similar players in similar positions.

And although Moyes used and sees Lingard as a possible second striker, the playmaker clearly wants to give things another try at his boyhood club if he does remain at Old Trafford.

In other news, Imminent reported West Ham signing has absolutely insane record.

And West Ham fans baffled over Abraham as Moyes nears £31.5m signing.
