Relief for worried West Ham fans as Moyes finally pens new three-year deal
West Ham fans were concerned the delay was the result of Moyes being unhappy with the club’s ambition or the owners refusing to satisfy his recruitment plans.
But Sullivan and Gold have vowed to back the manager in the transfer market as he continues to rebuild West Ham.
The duo were quoted in the announcement of Moyes’s new deal and also released a separate joint statement praising the manager.
And they made it clear Moyes will get their full backing.
“We are all aligned with what needs to be done to keep progressing and improving,” Sullivan and Gold told whufc.com.

“We are all so proud that you will return to see an exciting, hungry and ambitious team, led by a manager who we are continuing to work closely with to build something special,” the duo added (whufc.com).
“It is a true pleasure to work with him. He is a man of real integrity, honesty and with an experience of Premier League football that is unmatched in the game today. We have enjoyed a fantastic relationship with David and his coaching staff and we look forward to continuing that going forward…
“What he has also shown is a genuine care and regard for the future of this football club, and in line with our determination to improve all aspects of it and to bring consistent progress.
“We trust in him to continue that progress and keep building a team that represents our club in the image of our supporters and the values they hold dear – hard work, commitment, hunger and ambition.”

Not what you spend but how – no coincidence West Ham’s fortunes have changed with Moyes in charge of recruitment
Since Moyes has returned to West Ham and taken charge of recruitment, signings have improved dramatically.
The Hammers have proved it is not what you spend but how you spend it.
Of course investment will be needed. And it is reassuring to hear Sullivan and Gold will be backing Moyes on that front.
West Ham need at least one striker, Jesse Lingard or an alternative, a back-up defensive central midfielder and a centre-back as a bare minimum.
There is also a strong argument that the Hammers could do with a new goalkeeper and left-back too.
But Moyes the four priority areas are clear and must be addressed first.
