The Hammers manager is expected to be a very busy man in the summer.

It could be argued that West Ham actually need to sign around five players at the very least.

RONALDO NEEDS TO STOP WHINING.

The East London outfit will have a lot more games to play next season and our squad is already threadbare to say the least.

David Moyes transfer plan

The Hammers need to sign two strikers, a central midfielder, a left-back, a centre-back and a goalkeeper if we are going to be competitive on all fronts next season.

And Moyes told the reporters how he will be targeting the signings of players with big character this summer, as quoted by Football.London:

“First of all if I have this exact team and group of players I would think I will have a good chance. We have got a lot of hungry, energetic players. I am just hoping that I can add similar, and by that, I mean similar characters. Similar people who have performed at an incredible level this season. You need good players to be successful. I think the reason we have been successful this year is because we have brought in good players. And that has allowed other good players to flourish alongside them.”

Quite how much money Moyes will have at his disposal remains to be seen.

It will be vital for the West Ham owners to back the Scot sufficiently this summer, however. That’s if they want the football club to make genuine progress of course.

David Moyes clearly has a very specific transfer plan in mind. It’s now time for the owners to step up and really prove that they have the ambition to take this great club to the next level.
