Eurosport claimed months ago that Hammers boss David Moyes is keen to bring the 25-year-old Brentford hitman to the London Stadium.

It seems as though Toffees manager Carlo Ancelotti is eyeing up a move for Toney as well, however.

Claret and Hugh claims the Italian would like to bring the former Newcastle United and Peterborough United striker to Goodison Park.

West Ham face Everton competition for Ivan Toney

The Brentford hitman is allegedly on the radar of both Premier League clubs.

Toney would be a sensational addition for either the Hammers or the Toffees.

He has been absolutely on fire this season for Brentford with 29 goals and 10 assists in 43 league games to his name so far (Transfermarkt).

Toney is at a great age to make the jump up from the Championship to the Premier League. He is a superb finisher and is very mobile. The 25-year-old actually has everything that the Hammers and the Toffees are looking for in a striker.

Whether he will end up at the London Stadium or Goodison Park, however, remains to be seen.

Much will depend on which team finishes higher in the table out of West Ham and Everton.

If the Hammers manage to finish above the Merseyside outfit in the table, then we will have every chance to win the race for Toney’s signature.
