Frozen out Abraham is West Ham’s new number one target this summer
Law claimed Abraham has been ‘doubted and excluded’ by new Blues boss Thomas Tuchel.
And this week ExWHUemployee revealed Abraham is now Moyes’s new number one target this summer.
West Ham’s hopes of being able to sign the forward are growing after a series of frank admissions from Tuchel.
Abraham did not even make the Chelsea squad for the defeat to West Brom last time out.
And when asked the reason why, Tuchel effectively admitted he wasn’t good enough (talkSPORT).
No easy way back for Abraham at Chelsea says Blues boss Tuchel
Then in his pre-match press conference ahead of Chelsea’s game against Crystal Palace, Tuchel admitted there is no easy way back for the West Ham target (The Guardian).
West Ham go into this weekend’s crunch Champions League six pointer against Leicester without a single recognised senior striker in their squad following a new injury to Michail Antonio.
It further highlights Moyes’s chronic need to sign a new forward in the summer.
And the path looks set to be cleared in his pursuit of Abraham.
That’s after a new report claimed Chelsea are eyeing a sensational double deal to sign soon-to-be free agent Sergio Aguero and Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland.
Sensational double deal surely clears path for Hammers to land Abraham this summer
According to 90min, Chelsea have already held meetings with Aguero’s representatives.
And the report states Tuchel wants Haaland too with doubts over the future of West Ham target Abraham.
“Chelsea are open to the idea of bringing in both Haaland and Aguero, with the futures of Abraham – entering the final two years of his contract and currently unwilling to extend – and Giroud, 34 and out of contract this summer, uncertain,” 90min claims.
“Chelsea see themselves as genuine contenders to sign both Haaland and Aguero this summer. Abramovich is keen to finally build the dominant front line he has been looking for.”
Timo Werner is also in front of Abraham in the pecking order. So West Ham will surely fancy their chances of landing the 23-year-old forward.
Abraham’s friendship with Declan Rice has also been cited as a potential advantage for West Ham.
