Both the Hammers and the Villans will be keen to bolster their central defensive ranks this summer.

David Moyes could do with another top class under-30 centre-back. And the same applies to Dean Smith.

According to a report from Turkish media outlet Takvim, West Ham could move to solve that issue by signing Galatasaray defender Christian Luyindama.

But Fotomac claims Aston Villa want the 26-year-old as well.

And now Fotomac suggest that the Congolese ace would prefer a move to Villa Park rather than the London Stadium.

That will be a real blow for the Hammers and a huge boost for the Villans.

Stats

In 10 league outings for Gala this season, Luyindama has won 4.4 aerial duals on average per game. He has also averaged 1.7 tackles, 1.2 interceptions and 3.8 clearances per game during those appearances (Who Scored).

The 26-year-old could be available for around £11 million this summer, according to Fotomac.

In this day and age, that will represent excellent value for whichever clubs wins the race for his signature. And as things stand, it seems as though Aston Villa have the edge over West Ham.
